Jolie's intention was to make more than her immediate family feel comfortable and capable of dealing with such a challenge. The actress also revealed that she was told she has approximately a 50 percent risk (the actual number varies based on the individual) of developing ovarian cancer, of which her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died at only 56.
